Wrapping up our 2018 Season with a TV interview!

We have come to the end of another busy and exciting season at Luambe Camp this year with so many highlights, some incredible sightings as well as great feedback from our guests!

There have been a wonderful mix of guests from all over the world whom we have had the pleasure of welcoming into camp. We have so enjoyed sharing this small slice of Zambia with them and uncovering the magic of the Luangwa Valley including all of it’s inhabitants.

We were also very excited to welcome the ZDF film crew from Germany to Luambe later in the season. ZDF interviewed the Director of Luambe Camp, Mario Voss as well as his fiance, Zillah Fellowes at their home as well as in camp and the episode was aired on German TV. See the interview by clicking the below link:

There have been some excellent sightings this season with highlights including our resident lion and leopard visiting camp periodically, two female lions with three cubs out on the plains, large herds of eland and buffalo as well as sightings of Cookson’s wildebeest and wild dog. Night drives included sightings of porcupines, various species of mongooses, honey badgers, genets, civet, hyenas and the ever present bush babies. Birding in the park included some real specials; bat hawk, Pels fishing owl, African skimmer, narina trogan, lilac breasted roller and of course our signature moment, coffee with the carmine bee eaters.

FROM THE GUESTBOOK:

“Thank you very much for a fabulous time – wonderful food, great game (including 3 lions with a kill and a leopard!) and a truly exceptional guide in Ernest, who knows everything about everything! The camp is so tranquil and relaxing and all the staff work hard to provide you with the best possible hospitality. This is a very special place which we are very sad to leave.” Dave & Carol Greer, Inverness, Scotland

“We have enjoyed the most incredible three days here at Luambe Camp. Everything about our time here has been memorable – from the effusive greetings of the staff to the wildlife experiences. Lamek was a talented guide taking us to elephant, giraffe and lion sightings as well as teaching us so much about Zambian birdlife. The staff looked after us beautifully and we enjoyed relaxing while watching the antics of the hippos. It was a very special time. Thank you.” The Beith Family, London, England

“This is a special place with staff who work tirelessly to deliver a “home away from home” to Luambe’s guests.”  – Vicki & Jan Vanden Dressen, Perth, Australia

With such a busy and action-packed 2018 season, we are very much looking forward to the 2019 season with some exciting BIG news coming soon!
